Pioneer Works is an arts residency located in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The agency's mission is to represent an intersection of disciplines by generating a synergistic reaction between art and science. The project was inspired by the existing building's various structural characters molding an integrated system and views it as a physical form of Pioneer Works' mission. As a physical expansion mirroring its forefather, the Cascade is designed with a perfectly balanced yet elaborately precarious structure system with precast concrete modules.
